It seems like every other day I get one offer or another from some guy
promoting another JV (Joint Venture) Give Away Program.

The way the program is structured:

I join and I get access to the JV GiveAway's download page and on this
page you can download eBooks and Software for FREE!

Great idea if you're a Mooch, cheapskate or any other type of Freebie seeker.

By the way...I'm all three :-)

But how does this relate to Building your opt-in list, in other words,
adding to the number of your subscribers?

If you've read my past articles then you're aware of my passion for
Opt-in Email Marketing. Why am I so passionate? Because, "The Money Is
In The List." You may be tired of hearing that phrase but it's true.

Getting back to JV GiveAways and their promotions,2% or 3% of marketers
who download these Software and eBooks actually use or read these
items. But that's the other side of the proverbial coin and a subject
for my next article. Let's flip that coin and see the other side...how
can you benefit by joining a JV GiveAway Website?

Become A Contributor!

Now why would you want to become a Contributor?

Answer:

For the Opt-ins, to build your list, because The Money is In...well you
know the rest.

For those in the Internet Marketing niche, JV Giveaway events can be a
secret weapon for getting new targeted subscribers.

Remember:
The majority of folks who frequent these sites are internet
marketers...Your Target Market!

The upside is that you benefit from all the promotion done by other
giveaway participants. The downside is that many will subscibe just to
collect the free gift and then immediately unsubscribe from your list.

But I've found that the number of un-subscribers is a low percentage.
And since this type of promotion is costing me Nada and I'm increasing
the size of my Opt-in list...the lost of a few freebie seekers is a
non-issue.

So let's say you've created a valuable product you'd like to promote,
create a "Demo" version and contribute it to the JV GiveAway Promotion.

Or let's just say you have resale rights to an item and you wish to use
that as a lure to get Opt-ins.

Here's the Good Part:

When someone sees your display/listed gift, they have a choice...to
either move on to the next gift or and here's the good part...click on
your link, which takes them to your web-site or splash page, fill out the
form (their name and email address) to receive your gift.

Voila!!!  You now have an Opt-in and this is just the beginning, more
folks who have become aware of the JV GiveAway Promotion will click on
your gift and opt-in to your Subscriber List ... that is...if your gift is a desirable one and your short ad copy stimulates action.

To participate in these events you need to have some things ready ahead
of time.

1. The gift - should be targeted to your Opt-in List topic
2. A 120 x 120 pixel graphic of your gift
3. An optin page for the giveaway
4. A thank you page for the giveaway
5. The download file ready on your web site or the url for the gift
within your Welcome email message to your new subscriber.

I've been a participant/contributor for a few short months, you might
have seen my name on my Gifts to you. So my advice...stop the Freebie
Hunt and become an Opt-in MadMan or Woman and Move/Desperately Dive on
over to the other side of the table.

Become A Contributor and you'll discover that your Opt-in Email
Marketing Efforts will Sky-Rocket...
